It's a crime to have an active (?) blog and neglect it. Yes, I am guilty of that in a BIG way!
I started this blog 11 years ago this month! I've dropped back and reread some of my old posts. Boy have things changed since then. A marriage, a move out of state, loss of a sibling and mother-in-law, two fights with cancer and that's just the major changes!!
I've made many new friends in the past 11 years. Most, but not all, of them are connected somehow with the internet.
How did we ever get by without the internet? Remember when you actually had to look up topics for a report in an encyclopedia instead of Google? If you didn't know how to spell a word you had to look it up in the dictionary? If we wanted to know what time it was we looked at a watch on our wrist or the clock on the wall?
My granddaughter reminded me of these differences the other day. She has lost the use of her cell phone (for about the 100th time) and was complaining to me that she felt so stupid the other day in class. Everyone had to look up a word and ALL the other kids in class used their phones. SHE was the only one who had to use a dictionary! (poor child)
It's time to start using my blog more than Facebook!
