Dan has asked the question "How do women tell if a man is single/available?"
First things first, Dan. Single doesn't always mean available and available doesn't always mean single!
Take these fine gentlemen, for example (yes please take them!).

These men are probably single and more than likely gonna stay that way for a loooooong time!
I know many ladies check out a man's left hand for the tell-tale golden ring or the strip of untanned flesh. The absence of a ring is definitely not a sure sign. My new hubbie didn't want a ring because, well just because! But trust me, he doesn't act single (and he better not start acting single ifn he knows what's good for him!) *he reads my blog so I have to be nice*
A man in the grocery store with a list he is actually reading might be attached to someone at the other end of that chain! A man with a basket full of TV dinners may be single but good Lord, who wants to approach a man who obviously never takes a woman out to dinner!! On the other hand, a man with a single TV dinner and some bottled water may signify a guy on his own, but not all the time,,,
If you see a man eating breakfast every morning at The Waffle House, he just might be single. Of course, his arteries may be so clogged that a good, ahem, well a good night of flirting, could just kill him!
But the important question here, whether or not a man is single or available isn't the entire problem. As my idol, Ms Maxine says:
