I'm not sure who is hosting this week's carnival of the recipes, but when I find out I shall post a link.
This week my contribution is home-made root beer. Trust me, it is not difficult nor does it require any skill or long hours in the kitchen!
Marge's Root Beer
Dissolve: 1 tsp dry yeast in 1/2 cup warm water
Add: 2 cups sugar
2 T root beer extract
Put into a gallon jar. Fill the rest of the jar with lukewarm water, put a lid on it and let it stand at room temperature for 12 hours. Then refrigerate until well chilled.
Serve with a scoop of ice cream in each glass and you will think you are back in the '50's at the old root beer stand!!
