I've lived a few years and made many observations, but never so many in one day!
Can you believe the same teenager who grumbles, growls and slowly rolls out of bed when it's a school day will jump up, bright-eyed and busy-tailed when you wake them up early to tell them you are leaving? I think it might have something to do with an Xbox and the ability to play said Xbox the whole time you are gone!
Have you ever noticed that the ratio of traffic jams is directly proportional to the amount of time you have before an appointment? If you are running short on time, traffic is a mess. Leave early in case you get stuck in a parking lot and you can breeze right through down town with no problem!
If you've ever spent any time in an oncologist's waiting room (and here's hoping you never have to!), you tend to notice there really aren't that many people there with long, flowing locks of hair. If you do see such a person, they are either with a patient or wearing a wig.
I know I probably noticed many other things today, but the news that my latest CAT scan showed no change in size of lumps and bumps, nodes or nodules was the shining part of my day. Still have to have scans every 6 months, but I'll take that over chemo and radiation any day!!! AND I just got a call from my doctor that she will be scheduling an appointment for me to have my chemo port removed!
