Congrats to my youngest daughter, who married her Marine boyfriend on Monday. They were here for the holidays and I did get a family portrait of the bunch; he fits right in with the rest of us crazies!
For all practical purposes, we have dubbed him with his new redneck name,,,Sammy Bob!
Recently my new dryer wouldn't start unless I 'wiggled' the plug; then it may take a couple of tries for it to go!
After telling hubby about this, he decided to check out the dryer plug. Our appliances had been installed by Lowe's service reps, who we assumed, (I know never assume!) knew what they were doing.
After taking everything apart, hubby found it had not been installed properly (he said what the problem was but I don't remember). I'm just glad I didn't continue to 'just wiggle the plug' to get the dryer to work. Take a look at what we found when we replaced it! One prong had been verrrrrry hot!
We like to keep things neat and simple around here when we have people over to play cards or just sit around the table to BS. This dip is a big hit with most everyone; it's warm and tasty with Frito Scoops or Tostito's scoops or any other brand of chip that you can get a good 'scoop' of dip on!
With New Year's Eve coming up this week, thought I'd pass this one along for you to try!
Velveeta Cheese Dip
1 16 oz box of Velveeta Cheese
1 jar of salsa (mild or hot, your choice)
1 lb of bulk sausage (seasoned or unseasoned)
Cut cheese into cubes and place in crock pot. Pour jar of salsa over cheese. Brown sausage over medium heat, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks. After sausage is cooked, pour over mixture already in crock pot. Heat mixture on high until cheese has melted.
