USA Today has an interesting article concerning a new FCC report near completion “concludes that purchasing cable programming in a more a la carte manner in fact could be economically feasible and in consumers' best interest,”
I say GREAT!
Why should I have to pay for HBO in Spanish? Or MTV when I hate the music?
Why is it, when there were only 3 channels to choose from, there was always something good on (or so it seemed). But now that there are over 200 channels to choose from, we can never find anything worth watching?
Watching TV at our house when we were kids was a treat that occurred after homework and dinner dishes were done. Sad to say, but most parents today use the TV as a babysitter; turn the dial to the cartoon network and voila, kids are glued to the tube!
I'm not sure just what channels I would select, if I had the choice. The obvious, of course, ABC, CBS and NBC; but then I would also want PBS, CNN and the History channel. Comedy channel for sure, and of course FOX. Other than those mentioned, the rest would be up for serious debate at our house!
