You are the Hermit card. The Hermit has chosen a solitary spiritual path. He shines light on his inner self and, by this means, gains wisdom. The Hermit's home is the natural world and it is by being in tune with that world that he learns the laws of nature and learn how they operate within himself. His path is a lonely one as he lives in silence and has for companionship only his own internal rhythms. But those crossing his path are touched by his light and wisdom. Though often alone, he manages nevertheless to instruct those who meet him and guides those who chose to follow him on a path towards enlightenment. It's been a very stressful day for me and I do feel rather numb. It's rather sad sometimes that one can let a job, a way to provide for your everyday needs, get to you so bad!
Lonely, yes sometimes. But I like being alone at times. I can think in the quiet corner of my mind. Secretive? Yes, some of that too.
Tomorrow will mark the 7th year anniversary that Kevin and I met. It has been a very good 7 years. Does he make remarks like my last post? I guess I would have to say yes; does he admit it? Yes. We fit together. I don't consider him my 'other half' because I'm a whole person on my own. But we do fit.
A big, red-bearded lute player stopped to talk to us whilst at the fair. He played us a beautiful tune on his lute. I always thought that a lute was a wind instrument and that is where the modern flute originated from. Guess you can teach an old dog new tricks!!
Yesterday was a day of fun and revelry at the local Renaissance Festival. So many different types of music and entertainment, bawdy wenches and handsome knights,,, (and traveling minstrel players, too)
Then today, back to reality; President Bush made a stop not far from our town. Landing at the local Air Force base, drumming up votes from the masses. I, of course, was still in fantasyland and went to work! Didn't think I wanted to burn a vacation day to hear someone talk about things he is going to do in the next four years that he should have gotten done in the last four years!
Ah, Sunday mornings,,, a time to reflect on the week past and mentally prepare for the coming week.
I think this week I shall try a little self-improvement. According to this article I can increase my bust size just by letting my cell phone ring! I'm all for exercises that don't make me perspire! Okay, call me baby!!
Kevin has a link on his page on some good advice from Amy Blair. All I can say at this point is, ya gotta love the bunny!
If you are planning on traveling in the near future, Mr Helpful shares some advice on what to do/not do when one is selected for additional screening.
The weekend has finally arrived! It's been a long week at work and I'm so ready to kick back and relax, do a little web surfing and catch up on reading my favorite blogs.
We go on vacation in 4 more weeks; seems like a long time from now, though. Going to spend a whole week in Vegas, probably not doing a whole lot of anything strenuous (no, pulling the arm of a slot machine is not considered strenuous!). If the Vegas life style depended on my money to survive, though, they would be out of luck. I know how hard I had to work to make that money, I'm not about to give it away too freely to someone else!!
Found there are going to be a couple of shows there that we might like to see, though. Alice Cooper will be in concert that weekend. I'm debating if I want to see the once 'shock rocker' in plaid golf pants. We could (and probably will) go to see Elton John's show. Maybe take another trip to the Grand Canyon, who knows? Guess we will play it by ear and just do whatever strikes us as interesting at the time. After all, it's a vacation! I sure don't want to have to come home to rest up from vacation!
It's comforting to know that it only took the airlines how many hours to realize that Cat Stevens was on the government watch list and not allowed in the country. This list can't be checked before people board planes?? If he had wanted to do damage, it would have been a little late, don't ya think? Makes me feel a lot safer knowing that after I have gone through all the x-rays, baggage checks, and practically undressing just to get on a plane, that the list isn't checked until after the plane is in the air!
