Where did the summer go?
It's the last day of August and that's typically when I consider summer to be over. September starts a new school year for children. September brings the leaves falling from the trees. September brings Labor Day Picnics, the first day of autumn, and two of my four children's birthdays.
I've finally found the top of my desk at work (well, almost, anyway)! I'm far, far away from being 'caught up' though! Maybe in another week or two I can declare it a draw.
Most people take their vacations in the summer; sometimes we do, too. This year we are going to take a week in Vegas the end of October. Right now, I'm content to just be home and not have to leave the house, but by Oct I'll be ready, I think. We don't really do a lot of gambling, but we do enjoy going out west and seeing the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam and maybe some new spots this time around. Hopefully we will be in good enough condition (physically and financially) to go on a cruise in Jan or Feb of next year (are you picking up any clues, Kevin, on what I want for Christmas??) *I always try to be subtle with my hints*
